This privacy policy explains what information Excel Editor Online (“we”, “us”) at exceleditoronline.com handles, and why. In short: your spreadsheets stay on your device, and we don’t use accounts, advertising or tracking.
Your files
When you open a spreadsheet, it is read and edited entirely in your web browser. Your files and their contents are never uploaded to our servers, and we cannot see them. Files you download are created in your browser and saved directly to your device.
Data stored in your browser
To protect your work if you refresh or close the page, the editor saves your current workbook and its file name in your browser’s local storage. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can remove it at any time by starting a new workbook with New, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. Information we collect
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Like almost every website, our hosting provider may automatically record basic technical information when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. This is used only to deliver the website and protect it against abuse, and is kept for a limited period.
Third-party services
Fonts and the spreadsheet libraries used by the editor are served from our own domain. Using the editor does not send your data to third-party services.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use this only to reply to you and keep it only as long as needed to handle your request.
Children
Excel Editor Online is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to its processing. Because we don’t store your files or run accounts, the only personal information we may hold is correspondence you send us. To make a request, contact us.
